This long-time annual fireworks display--sponsored by the Chamber of Hickory Nut Gorge, the Town of Lake Lure, and Chimney Rock Village  can be seen from two ideal spots, both walking distance from The Arbor:

Gorgeous Morse Park Meadows
The public beach at Lake Lure

The beach opens for public viewing at 8 p.m, with the fireworks getting underway at dusk.

Visitors are encouraged to come early to enjoy the area's dining, shopping, parks and water-based activities. Or, pack a picnic, chairs and blankets to make a day of it at the beach and in Morse Park. Leashed and well-behaved dogs are welcome in the park.

(Sorry, but no alcohol is allowed anywhere on public property, including the beach. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars well within walking distance of the park and beach.)
