Pet Policy

As we’re owned by two “fur-persons,” we decided a pet-friendly cottage was a must.. POLICY: The Hemlock “Moon Pie” accepts adult dogs. No puppies under 1½ years old, please. Your little darling must be friendly, housebroken, de-flead and no more than 25 pounds. Our $20.00 per day per pet (limited to 2 darlins') is non-refundable. And remember, you are responsible for any damages, fleas, clean-ups or accidents your darlin'(s) may have inside the cottage. There’s a designated walking place and “pooch towels” and plastic bags are provided for scooping. We know your darlin’s think everyone loves them as much as you do. We probably will, but there are some people very afraid so, there’s a no-entry area too. When outdoors they must be on a leash at all times. Leashed pets are allowed at Chimney Rock Park and on the walking paths and boardwalk of Lake Lure. Please no baths in the easily scratched shower, and pets must be crated when left alone.
