Standard Check-in time:  4:00 p.m.

RESERVATIONS

To secure your reservation you must hold the reservation with a valid Visa or Mastercard. 

CANCELLATIONS

 There will be a $25 booking fee charged for ALL cancelled reservations.

A two-night minimum stay applies for all cabins at all times.

All room charges are subject to 7% sales tax and 6% occupancy tax.  There are no additional cleaning or service fees.

* HOLIDAY/SPECIAL EVENT RATES

Special rates and minimum stays may apply for the following holidays and special events: 

New Year's, Valentine's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Lake Lure Olympiad, Dirty Dancing Festival, Labor Day, Fall Arts & Crafts Festival, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

PET FEE

The Hickory Cabin, Magnolia Cabin and the Hemlock Cottage are all pet-friendly, for a flat charge of $50 per pet, per stay.  We have no size or breed restrictions; however, if your dogs are 100+ pounds, we do recommend the cabins over the cottage for a little more room. The Hickory Cabin is available for dogs only; if you wish to bring cats or other type of pets, please contact us for advance approval for either Magnolia or Hemlock. If your stay is for an extended time (four or more nights), we reserve the right to increase this fee based on the additional cleaning that will be required.  If you wish to bring more than two pets, please also contact us for advance approval.

GROUP RATES

Please inquire about discounts for multi-cabin rentals if you are traveling with a group of family or friends.

PAYMENT & DEPOSIT

We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express or cash (by prior arrangement only). 

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the balance due at check-in. Fees will apply in case of cancellation (see "Cancellations" below).

For first-time guests, an additional $200 refundable damage deposit will be collected at check-in and may be paid in cash or by credit card.  This deposit may be waived at the owners’ discretion.

CANCELLATIONS

We are a small property, and every reservation counts!  Cancelling a reservation has direct and indirect costs for us, including credit card processing fees for both the initial payment and any refund, administrative costs, and lost business from other guests who might have booked the same cabin or cottage for the same period.

A special note regarding cancellations in pandemic times:

We have seen a distinct increase in last-minute cancellations since 2020. While we understand that life in general feels more uncertain these days and that many are struggling, we ask guests to recognize that the same applies to us as small business owners with a sole source of income.

If you would like to book with us but a last-minute cancellation (and loss of any monies paid to us) would be unsustainable for you, we recommend you purchase trip insurance with cancel-for-any-reason coverage. See, for example, www.insuremytrip.com.

  • Cancellations 30 or more days before arrival: we will refund your deposit, less an administrative fee of 10% of the pre-tax value of your reservation.*

  • Cancellations 15-29 days before arrival: we will refund 1/2 of your deposit.

  • Cancellations 14 or fewer days before arrival: no refund.

  • * If you cancel 30+ days before arrival, you may choose to receive a credit for your deposit to re-book within 12 months, to save the 10% administrative fee

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT

Check-in time:  4:00 p.m.

Check-out time:  11:00 a.m.

In order to provide the best service to all of our guests, we generally do not offer early check-in; in the case where it is possible, a minimum $25 fee will apply.  Please inquire at the time of booking.  When we can, we will offer a complimentary late check-out.
